Opaline Light was born from a quiet belief that beauty, words,
and honest reflection deserve a space of their own.
If you share that belief, perhaps there is a place for your voice here.

This is a small, carefully tended publication. Every piece published here — whether a written essay, a photograph, or an illustration — is chosen with intention and read or viewed in full before it finds its place on these pages.

I welcome contributors who bring their own quiet vision to their work: writers who think in images, photographers who tell stories without words, and illustrators whose lines carry feeling. What matters most is not perfection, but sincerity.

Writing
Essays & Reflections Personal essays, literary reflections, fashion meditations, and lifestyle pieces that carry a distinct voice and a point of view. Opaline Light is not a news outlet — it is a space for depth, beauty, and honest thought. Pieces should feel considered rather than rushed, and personal rather than generic.
Photography
Images & Visual Stories Photography that carries atmosphere — still lifes, editorial portraits, quiet interiors, nature, or fashion with a poetic sensibility. You may propose images to accompany an existing article, or submit a photo series that stands on its own. All images must be your own original work.
Illustration
Drawings & Artwork Illustrations that complement the written word or speak quietly on their own. Fashion sketches, botanical drawings, portraits, or abstract work with a warm, literary sensibility. As with photography, all work must be original and entirely your own.

How it works

  • Submit your pitch or work using the form below, with a brief description of what you would like to contribute.
  • I read and review every submission personally. Please allow up to two weeks for a response.
  • If your work is a good fit, I will be in touch to discuss next steps. If it is not, I will always tell you why — honestly and kindly.
  • All accepted contributors are fully credited under their own name. Your work remains yours.
  • Opaline Light is a labour of love and does not offer financial compensation at this time. What it offers instead is a beautiful, considered home for your work and a growing readership who values depth over noise.
